Rock-Climbing (Keller Peak) -Updated 9/30
The first big troop outing of this Scouting year is fast approaching. Keller Peak is one of only two rock-climbing outings we have throughout the year. If you like to climb, then you don’t want to miss this one.
At this past Tuesday night’s troop meeting the Scouts had an opportunity to indicate if they wanted to go on this outing. Those that did were divided into patrols and they began to plan their meals.
The Scouts who expressed interest are:
- Jayden K.
- Nathaniel L.
- Tyler M.
- Chris G.
- Nick C.
- Samuel P.
- Adam P.
- Colin S.
- Colin J.
- Ethan J.
- Andrew G.
- Adam B.
- Carlos G.
- Shawn A.
Next Tuesday, September 29, will be the final day to sign up for the trip. During this meeting menus will be finalized, we will discuss what the Scouts should bring (e.g. camping gear, clothes, etc.), and the Troop gear will be inspected to ensure it is in good working order and ready to go. The Scouts will shop for groceries on the days leading up to our departure on Friday, October 2.
If you are one of the Scouts going, you must remember to bring $25 to next Tuesday’s troop meeting to pay for your meals. Additionally, you must also bring the following forms completed:
We will meet at the church this Friday, Oct. 2, at 5pm to check gear, food and resolve any last minute issues. We plan on leaving the church around 6pm. There are 4 parents who have signed up to drive the Scouts to the campsite. A few more parents will show up late or on Saturday morning.
If you have any questions or concerns about this outing, please don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Migallos, Mr. Lopes or Mr. Krosevic.
