Troop 486 Website Privacy and Usage Policy

This is not an official website of the Boy Scouts of America or any other organization. It is the sole responsibility of the webmaster. This website is intended only to provide general information to Glendora Troop 486. The main users will be scouting parents and some youth who have access to the internet. Permission is granted to the user to copy and print portions of this website for purposes of personal use or editorial review.

Appropriate Troop leadership will have direct control over the content of this web site. The content of this site will be appropriate to the Scouting movement. The site shall not contain any links directly to any sites that contain material that is not appropriate to the Scouting movement.

The site shall contain no advertisements or commercial endorsements, except those for the organization providing the site service if it is provided for free or at a discount. The site shall not replicate any BSA publication currently for sale through the Supply Division. The site will abide by all laws regarding copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property.

To protect our scouts and parents, we will not list on this site any home addresses, home phone numbers, or full names of children without proper password protection from general public viewing. The site will consider the safety and privacy of troop participants by obtaining necessary permissions to release information about or identifying images of any specific individual. The site shall include an e-mail contact address for reaching the person managing the site, so visitors can report any problems or concerns.
